Welcome

Advanced Hydrogen Energy System Lab has newly started since April 2015, as the third fuel cell related research group in Department of Hydrogen Energy Systems, followed by Hydrogen Utilization Processes and Fuel Cell System Labs.

Recently, you might more often see the words, “hydrogen energy” and “fuel cells” on TVs and Newspaper. Although hydrogen energy based on fuel cell technologies has been expected to be one possible solution for the future decentralized energy system, it is not categorized into a future energy anymore owing to the recent progress on commercialization of fuel cell vehicles (FCVs).

We welcome students who are interested in hydrogen energy and fuel cells, and also have a background in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrochemistry, material engineering, chemistry, and related subjects. We also encourage to join Ph.D. course from foreign countries and industries.

Especially, female students are welcome. There are both female staffs and students in our lab, and so feel free to stop by if you are interested in.

From Prof. Akari Hayashi
